Both of my grandmothers kept a soup pot going on the stove. I, too, made soup for many years, as an effort to self nurture myself back to health. The title of the painting, Stone Soup, also refers to the universal story by the same name. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to coordinate for public library system, a lengthy storytelling project which incorporated programs, research, festivals and circles.
